About Captain Paul Malone
Cpt. Paul Malone grew up along the Mississippi River and started fishing farm ponds with his dad at age 2. He fished his first local tournament when he was 15 and won, he was hooked from there, it fired up the passion for fishing, which he still has today. Spending most of his free time on the water fishing. Cpt. Paul fished as many tournaments as he could, sometimes fishing 2-3 tournaments a week. Paul dominated the local tournaments along the Mississippi for many years. After winning the Rayovac FLW he gained the confidence needed to fish bigger tournaments and has since then focused on those including BASS Master Opens, FLW BFLs and FLW Costa tournaments. He is sponsored by Bass Pro shops and leads many seminars working with high school and college teams, helping them develop their fishing skills. Cpt. Paul Malone has a passion for fishing and loves to teach and get others involved in the sport. This lead him to earn his Captain’s license, and he is now preparing to guide along the Mississippi River-Pools 7-14. Cpt.
